String Theory Group at YMSC
We are a research group at the Yau Mathematical Sciences Center, Tsinghua University, working at the interface of string theory, quantum field theory, mathematical physics, and quantum gravity.
Our research connects modern high-energy theory with geometry, topology, algebra, conformal field theory, holography, and quantum information. The group brings together faculty, postdoctoral researchers, students, and visitors with a shared interest in the mathematical structures behind quantum field theory and gravity.
Research Focus
- String theory, supersymmetric quantum field theory, and enumerative geometry.
- Holography, black holes, quantum gravity, and emergent spacetime.
- Conformal field theory, bootstrap methods, generalized symmetries, and topological phases.
- Algebraic, geometric, and categorical structures in quantum field theory.
Group Life
We host seminars, informal discussions, workshops, and short- or long-term visitors. The group is part of a broader mathematical physics community at YMSC, Tsinghua, and nearby research institutes in Beijing.
