Visitor Registration
Please download and fill the corresponding form and email your host with a photocopy of your id and other required documents to help us complete the required paperworks for you visit. You may also refer to our terms and conditions for more information on required materials. Thank you. Note: If you are not sure the precise arrival and departure date when filling the form, please make the time span large enough, as arriving earlier or departing later than the dates you filled might cause trouble on visa application and reimbursement.
- Non-Chinese and Chinese citizens working outside mainland China:
Please fill out the online registration form (If the previous link is broken or you prefer not using the online form, you may also manually download the form here: foreign registration form and fill), then send your host photocopies of the ID page of your passport and Chinese visa (If you already have one). If you need Chinese visa, please do this at least one month before your visit.
- Visitors from Hong-Kong, Macao, and Taiwan:
Please download and fill out the HMT visitor registration form and HMT visitor information form, then send us together with a photocopy of your Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents(港澳居民来往内地通行证) or Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents(台湾居民来往大陆通行证).
- Chinese citizens working in mainland China:
No registration required. Just provide your ID number and bank information upon arrival so we can reimburse you later.
Reimbursement
Please also provide the following documents besides registration forms for reimbursement:
- People from outside mainland China: the photocopy of your visa (if you need visa to enter China), the photocopy of your entry stamp (or record), the photocopy of your exist stamp (or record).
- Flight: the itinerary/receipt of your flight, bank transaction record, the boarding pass of your arrival flight, the photocopy of the boarding pass of your departure flight.
- Train: sign on both arrival and departure tickets and give them to us, bank transaction record if the total amount is above 1000 RMB.
- Accommodation: the invoice and itemized receipt of your hotel.
- Bank information:
- Domestic bank: bank account and branch
- International bank: to reimburse to a bank outside China, we need the following information.

Tsinghua University and YMSC
The campus of Tsinghua University is situated in northwest Beijing on the site of the former imperial gardens of the Qing Dynasty, and surrounded by a number of historical sites. The campus is roughly bounded by ZhongGuanCun North Street and HeQing Road west and east, and by HeQing Road and ChengFu Road north and south. The campus area sizes 442.12 hectare.
Yau Mathematical Sciences Center (YMSC) is currently located in three buildings near the west gate of the university: JingZhai, JinChunYuan West Building, and NingZhai. The campus map is HERE and campus map with point of interests is HERE.
Getting to the University
From Beijing Capital International Airport (BJS), the simplest way to the university is by taxi. Please be ware of taxi scams at BJS and take licensed taxi only. There are also subway and buses to the university as well. Detailed transportation guide can be found HERE.
Internet Access and Computer services
Tsinghua is a member of eduroam. Simply connect with your account. Otherwise, any faculty can help you get the guest account from Guest Tsinghua. Notice that the link is accessible only in Tsinghua and you need a valid e-mail address to receive the password.
According to Chinese law and regulations, access to certain websites and web services is restricted. It is advised to plan ahead before your visit (setting up a vpn account, forwarding your gmail to another e-mail account, and etc).
Public computers and printers are located at the north side of the JingZhai building, Room 203 of the JingZhai building, and first floor of the JinChunYuan West building.
Coffee, Food and Other Points of Interest
Coffee machine and snacks can be found in the common room located on the 2nd floor of JingZhai building. More detailed guide on food and drinks on/off campus can be found HERE with the location marked on the MAP.
