Research Summary

Junya Yagi studies exact correspondences among supersymmetric quantum field theory, string/M-theory, integrable lattice models, and quantum algebra. His recent work uses the tetrahedron equation, cluster transformations, state-integral models, Teichmuller TQFT, and quantized six-vertex models to understand why three-dimensional integrable structures naturally arise from gauge and string-theoretic constructions. The guiding idea is that defect operators, branes, and compactifications can turn field-theoretic dualities into algebraic relations of integrable models, making integrability a geometric consequence rather than an isolated technique.
