Research Summary
Wei Song studies three-dimensional quantum gravity, holography, and two-dimensional field theories with non-Lorentzian or irrelevant-deformation structures. Her recent work develops BMS, Carrollian, and Galilean symmetric field theories as alternatives to ordinary relativistic CFTs, and uses modular Hamiltonians, entanglement entropy, and correlation functions to probe their dynamics. In parallel, her work on asymptotic symmetries from the string worldsheet, TsT/TTbar holography, JTbar and TTbar deformations, and glue-on AdS constructions connects nonstandard boundary conditions and irrelevant deformations to black-hole physics and holographic geometry.
